LEGAL AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
The hosts of Urban Expression ensure that music played on their show has profanity censored; the associated genres of hip hop and rap typically feature swearing and particular themes that should not be exposed to children. Although the radio show is broadcast past the watershed (9 pm), Sheffield Live! prides itself in community benefit so abhor any bad language or themes from broadcasts which may offend listeners. Therefore, the same regulations will affect the content of the promo we are making; swearing, racism, violence and sexual themes etc. will not be shown in the video.
In terms of background music (BGM) played during the video, we will have to make sure that rights to use copyrighted material are secured or alternatively use copyright free material from websites such as audiolgfl.com, which we have used previously for other media units; for example in Unit 46 and 43, for our Film Trailer and Television Segment.
